Teaching work
Jacopo Spirei enjoys extensive teaching work with young, up and coming talents in opera.
He is Associate Professor of Opera at the Oslo Academy of Opera (KhiO) and has a long collaboration with the Opera Academy of the Royal Opera House in Copenhagen directing scenes and short works as well the Accademia della Scala and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
Artistic Director Work
Between 2006 and 2011 he has been artistic director and founder of www.spurio.com, an experimental project involving opera, filmmaking, video art and live performance, that culmintated in the production of a feature film based on the myth of Orpheus with live music composed by Davide Fensi.
